Team: San Diego Mariners
Years Active: 1974–1977 (WHA)
Home: San Diego Sports Arena — San Diego, CA

The San Diego Mariners were the relocated Jersey Knights, moving cross-country for the 1974–75 season after the club's Cherry Hill chapter ended. Playing at the San Diego Sports Arena, the Mariners built one of the WHA's strongest gates in their inaugural Southern California campaign.

Anchored by player-coach Harry Howell, scorer Andre Lacroix, and goaltender Joe Daley, the Mariners made the playoffs in all three of their San Diego seasons and were known for one of the league's most distinctive color schemes — teal, orange, and yellow. Financial pressure and arena conflicts forced the club to fold after the 1976–77 season, ending a four-city, five-year journey.
