Every Generals piece is built to wear, customizable with free name and number on most jerseys, and offered in true fan sizes Small through 5XL.

About the New Jersey Generals
The New Jersey Generals were the most famous, most expensive and most controversial franchise in original USFL history. Founded in 1983 and based at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, the Generals were initially owned by oilman J. Walter Duncan before being sold after their first season to a young Manhattan real-estate developer named Donald Trump, who would push the league toward the bold and ill-fated NFL antitrust lawsuit that eventually doomed it.
On the field, the Generals were stacked. They signed 1982 Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker out of Georgia in 1983 — at the time the largest contract in spring-football history — and Walker promptly led the league in rushing as a 21-year-old phenom. Quarterback Brian Sipe (the former NFL MVP) joined the team in 1984, then 1984 Heisman winner Doug Flutie was signed for the 1985 season alongside head coach Walt Michaels. The Generals went 14-4 in both 1984 and 1985 but lost in the playoffs both years and never won the USFL Championship.
The franchise's broader legacy goes well beyond wins and losses. Trump's push to move the USFL to a fall schedule and challenge the NFL ended in a Pyrrhic 1986 antitrust victory ($3 in damages, trebled to $9), and the league folded shortly after. The Generals have become a symbol of both the wildest ambitions and the worst missteps of original spring football. The franchise was revived for the 2022 USFL relaunch, giving New Jersey fans a chance to root for the Generals again, and it carried into the merged United Football League in 2024. The Royal Retros New Jersey Generals collection celebrates every era — Walker's debut, the Flutie-Sipe-Walker super-team, and the modern revival — with apparel for fans who remember spring football's wildest franchise.
