The Browns had little success on the field but were the most popular team in St. Louis during their early decades in the major leagues. Their lone World Series appearance came in 1944 against the crosstown rival Cardinals — the only all-St. Louis World Series ever — which the Browns lost in six games.
When Gussie Busch bought the Cardinals and their shared stadium in 1953, the Browns could no longer compete financially. The franchise relocated to Baltimore at the end of that season. Despite their historic mediocrity, the Browns boasted multiple Hall of Famers including Satchel Paige, Dizzy Dean, Rogers Hornsby, Heinie Manush, George Sisler, Goose Goslin, Jesse Burkett, Rube Waddell, Eddie Plank, Jim Bottomley, Rick Ferrell, and Bobby Wallace.

How to order
- Type the number and/or name you'd like on the jersey in the customization fields. You can leave the name field blank if you only want a number.
- To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.
Important review carefully before ordering
Once your order is placed:
- Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
- Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Construction options
Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.
Custom measurements
We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.
Blank-jersey exchanges
Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe
Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.
Expedited shipping
Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
