Titles: 4 Stanley Cups (1906, 1907, 1908, 1910)

The Montreal Wanderers — known as the “Redbands” — were one of the dominant teams of pre-expansion professional hockey, winning the Stanley Cup four times (1906, 1907, 1908, 1910) across the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey Association and National Hockey Association eras. Their rivalry with the original Ottawa Hockey Club defined the sport for nearly a decade.

The Wanderers played the first game in the history of the new major professional hockey league on December 19, 1917, beating the Toronto Arenas 10–9 at the Montreal Arena — their only win in the league. On January 2, 1918, the Montreal Arena burned down; with no replacement venue, ownership suspended the team after just four games, ending one of pro hockey's first dynasties.
