The 1984 United States men's basketball team captured the gold medal at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics, going 8–0 and defeating Spain 96–65 in the gold medal game. Coached by Indiana's Bob Knight, the 1984 team was the last all-amateur USA squad to win Olympic gold before pro players were permitted starting in 1992.

The roster featured a future Hall of Fame nucleus including Michael Jordan (a 21-year-old North Carolina junior who led the team in scoring), Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, Sam Perkins, and Wayman Tisdale. The 1984 squad outscored opponents by an average of 32.1 points per game — the largest victory margin by any U.S. Olympic basketball team to that point.

  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
