The Philadelphia Stars (rebranded Baltimore Stars in 1985) are the most decorated franchise in United States Football League (USFL) history — appearing in all three original USFL Championship Games and winning back-to-back titles in 1984 and 1985. The Stars name returned to Philadelphia for the revived USFL's 2022–2023 seasons, carrying forward one of spring football's most storied franchises.

Coached by Jim Mora and quarterbacked by Chuck Fusina with running back Kelvin Bryant and linebacker Sam Mills, the original Stars were the dynasty of original spring football. They went 15–3 in 1983 before losing the inaugural championship to Michigan; rebounded to win it all in 1984 with a 23–3 demolition of the Arizona Wranglers; relocated to Baltimore for 1985 and finished the season as champions again with a 28–24 win over the Oakland Invaders. Mills, Bryant, Mora, and Fusina all carried their USFL careers into the NFL — Mora to head coaching, Mills to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Stars combined for a 41–13 regular-season record across three years and remain the gold standard of original USFL excellence.

The revived Philadelphia Stars returned in 2022 under head coach Bart Andrus, advancing to the inaugural revived-USFL Championship Game — where they fell 33–30 to the Birmingham Stallions in a thriller. Quarterback Case Cookus and a stout defense gave Philadelphia a competitive run across 2022 and 2023 before the USFL merged with the XFL into the UFL.
