The Vegas Vipers were a relocation of the 2020 Tampa Bay Vipers franchise for the 2023 XFL revival under Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and RedBird Capital ownership. Playing at Cashman Field in Las Vegas, the Vipers finished 2–8 under head coach Rod Woodson — the Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive back making his head-coaching debut.
The Vegas Vipers continued the 2020 Tampa Bay Vipers franchise but moved to a desert-Southwest market that already had XFL history with the 2001 Las Vegas Outlaws. When the XFL merged with the USFL to form the UFL in 2024, the Vegas franchise was dissolved, ending Las Vegas's XFL chapter after a single 2023 season.
