The St. Louis Battlehawks have been one of the most popular franchises in spring football since launching with the 2020 revival of the XFL. Playing at The Dome at America's Center — the longtime home of the NFL Rams before their 2016 relocation to Los Angeles — the Battlehawks regularly draw the largest crowds in the league, routinely topping 35,000 per home game and ranking among the highest-attended teams in modern spring football.

The franchise continued under Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and RedBird Capital ownership when the XFL relaunched in 2023, and joined the UFL in 2024 when the XFL merged with the USFL. The Battlehawks' branding has remained consistent across the franchise's three league iterations.
