The New York Golden Blades were the rebranded New York Raiders, given a refreshed identity and gold-and-white color scheme for the start of the 1973–74 World Hockey Association (WHA) season at Madison Square Garden. The rebrand was an attempt to spark new energy in a New York market the franchise had struggled to crack as the Raiders.

The Golden Blades identity lasted only a few months. Continued financial losses and the lack of a viable MSG lease forced the franchise to relocate to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, partway through the 1973–74 season, where it became the Jersey Knights. The Golden Blades' brief existence — measured in weeks rather than seasons — has made the gold-and-white jersey one of the most-collected pieces of obscure WHA apparel.
