The Minnesota Fighting Saints were one of the twelve founding franchises of the World Hockey Association (WHA), playing at the brand-new Saint Paul Civic Center with its iconic clear acrylic boards. The Fighting Saints built passionate Twin Cities crowds across four-plus seasons with a roster featuring Mike Walton, Bill Goldsworthy, Mike Antonovich, and the all-time WHA character Ted Hampson. The franchise played in the WHA against the Minnesota North Stars' top-tier presence next door, splitting hockey loyalties across the State of Hockey.
Financial pressures forced the original Fighting Saints to fold in February 1976, mid-season. A second Fighting Saints franchise — the relocated Cleveland Crusaders — operated through the 1976–77 season before also folding. Both incarnations remain among the most colorful identities in WHA history, with the clear-board Civic Center setting and the Fighting Saints' aggressive, brawl-heavy style standing as a defining 1970s minor-pro aesthetic.

How to order
- Type the number and/or name you'd like on the jersey in the customization fields. You can leave the name field blank if you only want a number.
- To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.
Important review carefully before ordering
Once your order is placed:
- Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
- Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Construction options
Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.
Custom measurements
We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.
Blank-jersey exchanges
Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe
Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.
Expedited shipping
Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
