Team: San Francisco Sea Lions
Years Active: 1946 (West Coast Negro League)
Home: Municipal Stadium — San Jose, CA
Despite the name, the San Francisco Sea Lions' jerseys carried a bear on the front — uniforms purchased secondhand from the San Francisco Cubs, a barely documented club that rarely played in San Francisco and traveled the country year-round. Both clubs toured Canada for tournament play in 1946, the Sea Lions' only season in the newly formed West Coast Negro League.
From 1947 on, the Sea Lions dropped league play and continued strictly as a barnstorming team. Notable players included Bill Bruton and Toni Stone.
This product is a historical, vintage-inspired representation of a defunct team. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any active team, league, or organization. Any team names, logos, or imagery are used for historical and artistic purposes only.
