Team: Kansas City Blades
Years Active: 1990–2001 (IHL)
Home: Kemper Arena — Kansas City, MO
Titles: Turner Cup champions 1991–92

The Kansas City Blades brought professional hockey back to Kemper Arena 14 years after the Kansas City Scouts folded, joining the International Hockey League as a 1990 expansion franchise and capturing the Turner Cup in just their second season, 1991–92.

Across 11 seasons the Blades made the playoffs nine times before folding with the IHL in 2001. Their blue, silver, and black identity remains one of the most-remembered chapters of late-1990s minor pro hockey.
