Team: Atlanta Knights
Years Active: 1992–1996 (IHL)
Home: Omni Coliseum — Atlanta, GA
Titles: Turner Cup champions 1993–94

The Atlanta Knights brought professional hockey back to Atlanta twelve years after the Flames left for Calgary, joining the International Hockey League as a 1992 expansion franchise affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Knights opened with a 52–23–7 record, the league's second-best, and won the Turner Cup in their second season, beating the Fort Wayne Komets four games to two — the city's first professional championship since the 1968 Atlanta Chiefs.

The Knights drew solid crowds at the Omni across four seasons before the franchise was sold and relocated to Quebec City for 1996–97, becoming the Quebec Rafales.
