The Cincinnati Kids were one of the six original Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) franchises, taking the floor at Riverfront Coliseum for the inaugural 1978–79 indoor soccer campaign. Famously, the club was partially owned by Cincinnati baseball legend Pete Rose, who lent his name and star power to the new venture. On the floor the Kids proved competitive in that first winter, finishing third in the league with a 16–8 record and a strong home mark at the Coliseum. The franchise lasted only that single season before disbanding, a true one-and-done relic of the earliest days of American indoor soccer.
