The Los Angeles Lazers brought big-league glamour to indoor soccer, competing in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) from 1982 to 1989 at The Forum in Inglewood. Owned by famed Lakers and Kings proprietor Jerry Buss, the Lazers shared their home floor with some of L.A.'s most storied franchises and gave Southern California fans a fast, high-scoring soccer product through the 1980s. The club spent seven seasons chasing a championship before Buss, sensing the league's declining fortunes, shut the team down in the summer of 1989.
