The Cleveland Lumberjacks brought professional hockey back to Cleveland 14 years after the Cleveland Barons folded, joining the International Hockey League (IHL) as a 1992 expansion franchise. The Lumberjacks initially played at Richfield Coliseum (the same building the Barons had called home), and relocated to downtown's Gund Arena in 1994 when that venue opened.

The Lumberjacks built solid, playoff-caliber rosters across their nine seasons, with affiliations to various top-tier organizations rotating prospects through the franchise. Cleveland made the IHL playoffs in most years and produced one of the most recognizable identities of 1990s minor pro hockey — the red, black, and white Lumberjacks brand with its distinctive lumberjack logo. The franchise folded with the IHL in 2001 and was not among the six teams continued in the American Hockey League's merger.

  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
