The Atlanta Knights brought professional hockey back to Atlanta 12 years after the Atlanta Flames relocated to Calgary, joining the International Hockey League (IHL) as a 1992 expansion franchise affiliated with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Knights played at the Omni Coliseum and made an immediate competitive impact, finishing 52–23–7 in their inaugural 1992–93 season — the second-best record in the league.

The franchise's defining moment came in their second season. The 1993–94 Atlanta Knights captured the Turner Cup as IHL champions, defeating the Fort Wayne Komets four games to two in the best-of-seven final — the first professional sports championship for any Atlanta-based franchise since the 1968 Atlanta Chiefs of the North American Soccer League. The Knights drew solid crowds at the Omni across four seasons before the franchise was sold and relocated to Quebec City for the 1996–97 season, becoming the Quebec Rafales. Atlanta would wait until 1999 for major-league hockey to return with the expansion Thrashers.

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
