The Ohio Glory played a single season in the WLAF / NFL Europe in 1992 at Ohio Stadium, the historic home of Ohio State football. The franchise was the relocated continuation of the 1991 Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks and gave Columbus its first professional football presence.
The Glory played the only WLAF games ever held at Ohio Stadium, drawing on the venue's college-football tradition for a brief one-year run. Like every other North American franchise, the Glory were disbanded when the league suspended operations after 1992 and relaunched as a European-only competition in 1995.
