The Alabama Vipers were a professional arena football club based in Huntsville, Alabama, that played their home games at the Von Braun Center. The franchise had spent its earlier years under a different name in the developmental ranks before adopting the Alabama Vipers identity for the 2010 campaign, when the club competed in Arena Football League (AFL). That lone season under the new name produced a 7–9 record, after which ownership relocated the team to suburban Atlanta and rebranded it, ending the Vipers chapter in north Alabama.
