About the Dallas Renegades

The Dallas Renegades were one of eight charter franchises in the 2020 XFL relaunch — the league's North Texas entry, playing home games at Globe Life Park (the former home of the Texas Rangers in Arlington). Their black-and-red color scheme, sharp outlaw-circle logo and spaghetti-Western-flavored branding made them an instant favorite among fans of both football and design, and head coach Bob Stoops gave the team instant national credibility.

Quarterback Landry Jones was the public face of the Renegades, with veteran offensive line coach Hal Mumme bringing his Air Raid offensive concepts to the roster. The team was building real momentum when the 2020 season — like every other spring sport that year — was cut short after Week 5 by the COVID-19 pandemic. The XFL went into hiatus shortly after, leaving the Renegades' debut season frozen in time as a five-game spring-football moment.
