The Miami Manatees were a proposed CFL franchise put forward in 1995 by an ownership group that had originally sought to relocate the failed Las Vegas Posse. Submitted to the league under the Manatees name, with a portion of ticket sales earmarked for manatee conservation, the team was slated to play at the Orange Bowl under head coach Ron Meyer, needing 20,000–25,000 tickets sold per game to break even.

The CFL suspended its U.S. operations before the 1996 season began, and the Manatees never played a game.
