The Baltimore Blades were the relocated Michigan Stags, moved to Baltimore midway through the 1974–75 World Hockey Association (WHA) season after the Stags' Detroit chapter collapsed. The Blades played out the remainder of 1974–75 at the Baltimore Civic Center — the third home for the same franchise in less than three calendar years.

The Blades' Baltimore run lasted only a partial season. The franchise folded at the end of 1974–75 when ownership could no longer sustain the operation, ending the three-city, three-year journey of one of the WHA's most-traveled and shortest-lived franchises. The Blades' brief existence has made the jersey one of the rarest and most-collected pieces of 1970s major-league hockey apparel.

  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

Once your order is placed:

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
