The Chicago Rush played 11 seasons across two Arena Football League eras — 2001 to 2008, then 2010 to 2013 after the league's hiatus — at the Allstate Arena in suburban Chicago. In 2006 the Rush captured ArenaBowl XX, defeating the Orlando Predators 69–61 behind quarterback Sherdrick Bonner and head coach Mike Hohensee.
Bonner went on to become one of the AFL's all-time leading passers. The Rush marked Chicago's return to arena football, nearly two decades after the original Chicago Bruisers folded in 1989.
