The Atlanta Legends played the abbreviated 2019 Alliance of American Football season at Georgia State Stadium, the converted Olympic and former Atlanta Braves venue, as one of the league's eight founding franchises. Quarterbacks Matt Simms and Aaron Murray rotated under center as the Legends went 2–6 across eight weeks of play before the AAF suspended operations that April.
