The Chicago Winds were the 1975 rebrand of the Chicago Fire, playing the abbreviated second season of the World Football League at Soldier Field. The Winds opened the year hoping to stabilize the franchise but folded after just five games, even before the league itself suspended operations that October.
The collapse was one of the earliest signs the second WFL season would not finish. Chicago would not host another challenger pro football franchise until the USFL's Blitz arrived in 1983.
This is a historical representation of a defunct team, not affiliated with or endorsed by any active team, league, or organization.
