The Baltimore Blades were the relocated Michigan Stags, moved to Baltimore midway through the 1974–75 World Hockey Association season after the Stags' Detroit operation collapsed. The Blades finished out 1974–75 at the Baltimore Civic Center — the franchise's third home in under three years.

Ownership couldn't sustain the operation, and the Blades folded at season's end, closing out one of the WHA's most-traveled and shortest-lived franchises. The jersey remains one of the rarest pieces of 1970s major-league hockey apparel.
