The Toledo Mercurys were one of the earliest International Hockey League franchises in Toledo, playing intermittent seasons at the Toledo Sports Arena from the late 1940s through the early 1960s and helping establish the city as one of the IHL's foundational minor-pro markets.

The Mercurys' run was part of the wider mid-century minor-pro hockey landscape, with smaller-market franchises rotating across the Midwest. The team folded in the early 1960s, with Toledo's hockey identity later carried forward by the Hornets, Blades, and Goaldiggers.
