The St. Louis Bombers were one of the original franchises of the Basketball Association of America, playing four seasons in the BAA and its successor NBA from 1946 to 1950 at the St. Louis Arena. Star forward Easy Ed Macauley led the Bombers to three winning seasons across their four-year run, but the club could not sustain itself and folded after the 1949–50 season.

St. Louis would not host another major professional basketball franchise until the Hawks relocated to the city from Milwaukee in 1955, ending a five-year gap in top-level pro basketball in the Gateway City.
