The Attack was originally supposed to be named the Los Angeles Wings, however moved to Sacramento when the arrangement fell through. Unfortunately, Sacramento already had a football team playing in the spring with the WLAF champion Sacramento Surge. With little interest in the team it relocated to Miami after one season.
