Starting off in Fairbanks Alaska in 1975 as the Alaska Teamsters, this minor league hockey became the Alaska Gold Kings in 1977. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1998. Though they made it to the post-season all four years they were in Colorado, they had trouble drawing fans and folded in 2002.
