USFL

The United States Football League (USFL) was established in 1982, though the idea of a spring football league stretched back to the 1960s. The USFL played three seasons starting in 1983. In 1985, it decided to move a fall schedule for its 1986 season. It never made it after winning only $3 in an antitrust lawsuit against the established league. In 2022, the league was revived before merging with the XFL to become the UFL.
