The Oakland Invaders played 3 seasons from 1983-85 in the USFL, playing home games in the Coliseum. Oakland had recently lost the Raiders in a move to LA, leading to the new team taking a similar name. The Invaders came up just 5 yards short of victory in the 1985 Championship Game which ended up being the last USFL game ever played.Â
