Remembered for their brazen pillaging of NFL stars, the Stallions even drafted Jerry Rice who instead decided to go to the NFL. In their final season, Chuck Clanton set a professional football record with 16 interceptions. Despite failing to capture a championship, the team's impressive attendance and 36-18 all-time record have left many believing professional football can still succeed in Birmingham.
